Remarks : Reaching sizes of 2 metres, the Bagarius yarrelli is usually mixed up with its smaller cousin, the Bagarius Bagarius which is also known as the Dwarf Gnooch. A good way to tell them apart is by the positioning of the dorsal fin. the Bagarius bagarius' is closer,to the rear of the head. The yarrelli's, on the other hand,is positioned in the mid of the back, further away from the head.
